UWAA is hosting a special screening of "Single," the rom-com set against the backdrop of Seattle's grunge scene on Saturday, February 22 from 4:00-6:00pm at the SIFF Cinema Uptown in Lower Queen Anne. SIFF Executive Director Tom Mara will introduce the film.
A post-screening conversation featuring industry insiders and artists to discussing the cultural impact of "Singles," the Seattle music scene of the '90s and the topic of how film and art impact how we date/love to follow. The forum will be hosted by Eric Ames, Chair of the UW Department of Cinema & Media Studies will host a forum Panelists include KEXP DJ Eva Walker, screenwriter and critic Warren Etheredge, and UW Cinema & Media Studies Assistant Professor Mal Ahern.
