Diana Flores Ruiz and Sasha Welland (GWSS) have won a “faculty collaboration” award from the Simpson Center in support of “Visualizing Nuclear Histories.”
Jennifer Bean and Ungsan Kim (ALL) have won a “co-taught course development grant” for their proposed course, “Global Horror and the Cinema Monstrous.”
Golden Owens, Lauren Berliner (IAS, Bothell), Temi Odumosu (iSchool), and Daniela Rosner (HCDE) have won support for a writing retreat at the Whiteley Center for their project “Connective Experiments in Media and Visuality.”
These projects exemplify the kind of collaborative and transdisciplinary work on cinema, media, and visual culture that makes the Department of Cinema and Media Studies so extraordinary.
