We received news that Silent Cinema and the Politics of Space (Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 2014), edited by Jennifer M.Bean, Anupama Kapse, and Laura Horak has been selected as the winner for the Society for Cinema & Media Studies Best Edited Collection Award for 2015. The award recognizes the best edited collection published during the previous year, and is meant to recognize the work of editors and of new scholarship by multiple scholars in a single edited volume in which the assembled essays reflect sustained and varied engagement with the book’s core theme. The award will be presented at the Award Ceremony of the 2015 SCMS Conference in Montreal on Friday, March 27th. Congratulations!
