Feminist Media Histories Workshop: Affect held on Friday, May 15, 2020

The Feminist Media Histories workshop Affect was held successfully on-line on Friday, May 15, 2020 with more than 300+ RSVPs and participants!   

Initially designed as a two-day celebration of Feminist Media Histories' transition to Seattle, the workshop was moved on-line due to the global pandemic.  The workshops feature informal presentations by the following 7 speakers:

Ann Cvetkovich (Carleton University)
Kathy Woodward (University of Washington)
Paula Amad (University of Iowa)
Maggie Hennefeld (University of Minnesota, Twin Cities)
Amber Jamilla Musser (George Washington University)
Zhen Zhang (New York University)
Sandra Soto (University of Arizona)    

Discussion sessions and presentations from t heevent will inform a special issue of Feminist Media Histories (FMH 7.2), curated by the journa's new Editor-in-Chief, Jennifer M. Bean.  The event was sponsored by the sponsored by the Walter Chapin Simpson Center for the Humanities and the Department of Cinema and Media Studies.
