Biography

1. Background

My academic journey began with a Ph.D. in the Theory of Literature and Art at Northeast Normal University, completed in 2016 under the supervision of Professor Yang LI (李洋). I then conducted postdoctoral research at Peking University’s School of Arts, working with Professors Yang LI (李洋) and Xuguang CHEN (陈旭光).

I am currently a tenured associate professor at the School of Media and Communication, Shenzhen University, and a Research Fellow at the university’s Institute of Global Communication.

I’ve attached my CV for more details on my background, publications, and research trajectory. You can also find my profile on our school’s website: https://cmc.szu.edu.cn/info/1068/1725.htm

2. research areas

My research sits at the intersection of digital audiovisual media, philosophy of technology, and media materiality. I’m especially interested in how streaming media technologies shape cultural practices, and how AI technologies influence film produce and culture.

3. Hobbies

Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, billiard, singing, and skateboarding—and in winter, especially ice skating and skiing. As Shenzhen University has a driving range, so I occasionally play golf. Above all, I love watching films, theatre, concerts, and live indie music.

I would love to meet like-minded colleagues, make friends, and have some fun along the way.
