Biography
Rin Huang (they/she) is a current Cinema and Media Studies graduate student at University of Washington. Participated also in the Science, Technology, and Society Studies Graduate Certificate program at UW, their research interests lie in the overlapping zone of STS, media studies, and critical infrastructure studies. Their recent interests include archive-based research on global communication and imaging infrastructure’s cultural, political, and epistemological impacts with a specific attention to contemporary East Asia area. Before coming to University of Washington, they received a B.A. in English, Minor in Philosophy at Fudan University with a visiting year at Columbia University.
