Rin Huang (They/ Them/ Their)

Rin (Yilin) Huang is an MA student in Cinema and Media Studies and the Science, Technology, and Society Studies graduate certificate program at the University of Washington, Seattle. Their research mainly focuses on the media technology history of modern and contemporary East Asia, with particular interests in urbanization, infrastructure history, science and technology documentaries, and media archaeology. 

Besides academia, they have worked as a documentary photographer and curator at various film institutions including SIFF (Shanghai International Film Festival) and MOViE MOViE, Shanghai.
