Biography
Omair is a first-year MA student in Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Washington. He is an archivist, photographer, and writer/editor. His research interests lie in new and legacy media artifacts, piracy networks, digital cultures, and media archives of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. His undergraduate thesis researched Karachi's pirated video game markets, piracy methods, and their relation to gamers and local gaming cultures. On most days, you can find him thrifting books, playing video games, or taking pictures on the street. You can find his work on Instagram @cubisticromeos.
