Biography
Leah (Lee) Donnelly is pursuing a master's degree in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Washington. An interdisciplinary artist and scholar, Lee’s work draws from a diverse array of fields including wearable technology, queer theory, media archeology, fine art, philosophy, audio-haptics, and more. Passionate about developing educational, community-driven, and disability-centered initiatives, Lee is always excited to discuss how unique fusions of arts, humanities, and sciences can unearth new pasts, presents, and futures. Lee’s two favorite things are rhetorical analysis and mango-flavored food items. Before coming to the University of Washington, Lee received a B.A in Media Arts & Sciences with a minor in Studio Art from Arizona State University. Their undergraduate thesis began a genealogy and excavation of the wristwatch as a queer media object.
