Jing Wen

Jing Wen is a doctoral candidate in the School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University  currently writing her dissertation tentatively titled "The Sound Media in Early Chinese Films." She argues that by examining the history of sound media such as telegraphy, telephone, phonograph, and radio, we hope to gain a more comprehensive understanding of their cultural and historical character and how the subjectivity of their users evolved.
