Biography
Ji’an Lin comes from China and he is an associate professor of the School of Journalism and Communication at Central China Normal University. His research primarily focuses on the Chinese film history and the sociology of film. He is the author of 映演时代：中国电影放映史（1897-1949） (Projecting the Times: A History of Film Exhibition in China, 1897–1949) (China Social Sciences Press, 2024). And he has also edited a book 电影社会学导论 (Introduction to Film Sociology)(Central China Normal University Press, 2024). His publications appeared in both Chinese and international academic journals, including Dianying Yishu (Film Art), Dangdai Dianying (Contemporary Cinema), Beijing Dianying Xueyuan Xuebao (Journal of Beijing Film Academy), and the Historical Journal of Film, Radio and Television.
