Submitted by Anonymous on

The UW Cinema & Media Studies Graduate Student Association (CMS GSA) presents Exploring Anti-Racist Pedagogies, a graduate student-led series that seeks to engage with current anti-racist pedagogical research and practice through scholarly conversations and workshops. Our aim is to foster discussions on equitable teaching practices for graduate students from all departments who value Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Representation.

We are excited to host our first event on February 22, 2022 in collaboration with the UW Bothell Master of Arts in Cultural Studies (MACS) Program and the SCMS Critical Media Pedagogies Scholarly Interest Group (SIG). This virtual panel discussion will feature UW-Seattle faculty members Regina Y. Lee (Gender, Women, & Sexuality Studies), Michelle Liu (English), and Diana Flores Ruíz (CMS), each presenting on their anti-racist pedagogical practices.
