We recently received news of a new publication from UW Comp Lit PhD program alumna Nobuko Yamasaki.  Nobuko Yamasaki is currently Assistant Professor of Japanese at Leigh University.  Her monograph, a revised version of her dissertation will be published from Routledge this coming June.   The book titled Prostitutes, Hostesses, and Actresses at the Edge of the Japanese Empire will be available June 2021.  Book description and additional information is available here.
