Inside the classroom of Willis Konick, Associate Professor of Slavic and Comparative Literature, University of Washington, a number of world masterpieces are discussed including War and Peace and The Brothers Karamazov. Some of the complex issues these works pose are first presented as improvised dramatic interchanges between teacher and student and are then linked to a specific circumstance or character in the literary work. The student, however, is seldom aware that the interchanges may be dramatic representations and not the truth.
