Current doctoral student Andrea Schmidt has been awarded a Chetser William Fritz Scholarship for the 2014-2015 academic year. The scholarship is designed to provide assistance to students in the Humanities. Andrea is currently writing her dissertation titled "The Alternative Heritage Text and Its Imaginative Frameworks." The dissertation focuses on the alternative heritage text, wherein members of a specific nation (Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom) produce media that draws on the idealized, nostalgic past of another nation. Congratulations Andrea!
