Workshop on New Media in China and Taiwan

The workshop outlines the state of the field in research on new media in the Chinese-speaking sphere. We ask how the theories of Lev Manevich, Mark Hansen, Alexander Galloway, and others have shaped research in Chinese new media and how our research may challenge existing paradigms.

Presenters include Weihong Bao (University of California, Berkeley), Shuen-Shing Lee (National Chung Hsing University),Jinying Li (University of Pittsburgh), Xiao Liu (McGill University), and Joshua Neves (Condordia University), and Yomi Braester(University of Washington).
